Interview with our beloved teachers-I

It has been since quite a number of days That we have been getting an incessant urge to rediscover the golden days of our mother institution S.M.C.H. in the light of its present rejuvenating period which has regained all its past glory and has rather surpassed it, at the able and exemplary guidance and pivotal leadership of our present principal DR.S. S. Dhar.
Just a quick glance at all around the campus and the set up which is functioning at present will clearly give an impression as to what may be the reason of the extension of 2 yrs given to Prof. DR. S. S. Dhar after his retirement in the post of principal of our college.

Gone are those days when for every minute facility the students and the JDA. had to agitate, causing a lot of damage to the studies and career. now most modern and up-to-date facilities of educational lobby , the diagnostic tools and therapeutic arena are all in our hospital at our hand.

The man himself has proven and is proving as an Never ending source of enthusiasm and working spirit to all the members of this great family of Silchar Medical College. Any young star will surely shy away to witness the extraordinary fitness that sir has maintained till date with his everlasting patronage to physical activities and sports in S.M.C.H.


From the students to the junior doctors, from the professors to the para medicals all r in unison about the wonderful track record of Dr.S.S.dhar as the principal. And this itself bears the testimony to his success and in turn our success being a part of the family of S.M.C.H.

The milestones achieved by him have been long awaited by the people of barak valley towards the development of medical facilities in the only centre for this region and this has been the role of a” maseeha” which he has played in getting facilities like M.R.I. to the hospital which is a prerequisite to the increasing demand of sophistication of treatment nowadays.
Thus we all pray and hope that he will take our mother institute to all the new heights of excellence in very near future which is honestly deserved by him before the career of such a dynamic and one of the best principals S.M.C. has ever had comes to an official halt we all hope and are sure that we will all be witness to this man unfurling the flag of our dearest S.M.C.H. as the marked center of excellence in barak valley and we all can say proudly for ever after “Every lane we traverse ,our footprints shall reveal our identity”

Keeping the demand of our readers, we are going to start a new column in our “Scintillans” which preclude the exclusive interview of our teachers.And guess,who will be the first one? Yes you are right!! Its none other than our esteemed principal Dr.S. S. Dhar. Readers are requested to put forward their favourite queries regarding various aspects of our college to our principal sir.
